Meet Batool Makki, M.A., TLLP

Batool Makki is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and founder of Makki Psychology Group. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Addiction Studies from the University of Detroit Mercy and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Michigan School of Psychology.

Born and raised in Dearborn, Batool has built her career around providing compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally responsive mental health care. Her professional background includes clinical psychology, trauma-informed care, substance use and recovery, community prevention, and psychological assessment.

Batool has also collaborated with Michigan State University on research examining opioid use within the Arab American community and presented research through the Muslim Mental Health Consortium at the MSU Department of Psychiatry.

As a bilingual clinician providing care in English and Arabic, Batool is passionate about creating an environment where clients from all backgrounds feel understood, respected, and supported.
